This year The Grand County Advocates are encouraging local businesses & organizations to incorporate purple lighting into their storefronts\, windows\, and/or public displays during the month of October to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to ending domestic violence in Grand County. Purple\, the national color for Domestic Violence Awareness\, represents a symbol of strength\, support\, and awareness. This simple yet impactful gesture not only enhances community visibility for the cause but also fosters a culture of compassion and advocacy. Lights\, infographics\, and handouts will be provided free of cost. If you are a local business or organization and would like to participate\, please fill out this short form or email Kayla at kdorney@gcadvocates.org for more information. SUMMARY:Festival of Trees
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual Festival of Trees\, hosted by the Fraser River Valley Lions Club. This event draws over 800 people for a fun-filled evening\, including Christmas music\, food\, and beverages. Over 20 local non-profit organizations decorate and display Christmas trees and wreaths. A silent auction is held for all of the decorated items. All auction proceeds will go to the non-profit decorating that tree or wreath. The Fraser River Valley Lions Club provides the trees\, tree stands\, wreaths\, and next day delivery service to the winning bidders. We hope to see you there!
