“Glowing Together”: A Community United Against Domestic Violence

October 1 - October 31

Learn More about “Glowing Together”: A Community United Against Domestic Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year The Grand County Advocates are encouraging local businesses & organizations to incorporate purple lighting into their storefronts, windows, and/or public displays during the month of October to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to ending domestic violence in Grand County. Purple, the national color for Domestic Violence Awareness, represents a symbol of strength, support, and awareness. This simple yet impactful gesture not only enhances community visibility for the cause but also fosters a culture of compassion and advocacy. Lights, infographics, and handouts will be provided free of cost. If you are a local business or organization and would like to participate, please fill out this short form or email Kayla at [email protected] for more information. In addition to the light campaign, the Advocates will be hosting a variety of community events. Check out the events tab for more information!
