What is Colorado Gives Day?
Colorado Gives Day. It’s more than just a day. It’s a movement that inspires and unites thousands of donors to support their favorite causes online through ColoradoGives.org. Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. For the sixth consecutive year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Donations are accepted through ColoradoGives.org.
Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday December 6th, is the BEST day of the year to donate to the Advocates. WHY?? Because Colorado Gives Day features a $1 MILLION DOLLAR INCENTIVE FUND generously contributed by the Community First Foundation and FirstBank. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day receives a portion of this fund, therefore increasing the value of EVERY dollar you donate. This extra boost helps us in our mission to end domestic and sexual violence in Grand County. There are also fun ways for us to win money through the “FirstBank $100,000 in Prizes.” For example, if we are able to increase the total of our 2016 Colorado Gives Day donations over 2015’s total donations, we will be put in the big drawing to win $5,000! How Does the $1 MILLION Dollar Incentive Fund Work and Other FAQ’S…
Community First Foundation and FirstBank each contributed $500,000 to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund again this year, one of the largest in the country! It increases the value of every donation proportionally.
- The $1 Million Dollar Incentive Fund is a pool of dollars, provided by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, to boost every donation made through ColoradoGives.org on Colorado Gives Day.
- For example, if a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total donations made on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Dollar Incentive Fund.
- It is one of the largest giving-day incentive funds in the country. The incentive fund increases the value of every donation.
